Emotional intelligence plays a significant role in human experience, influencing behavior and ethical conduct. Gratitude extends beyond interpersonal interactions to include religious dimensions, such as thankfulness to a higher power, which reflects a fundamental element of faith and religious practice. The purpose of this study is to explore and understand the relationship between gratitude and emotional intelligence within the specific context of the narrative of Luke 17:11–19, in order to strengthen the spirituality of pastoral ministers. This study employs a qualitative literature review approach, drawing upon findings from recent scholarly journal publications. The results emphasize the importance of integrating teachings on gratitude into religious practice and exploring the potential of spirituality as a source of strength in fostering the spiritual growth of pastoral ministers. This study is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of emotional intelligence theory and its application in both psychological and theological practice.
