This article aims to construct a critical and constructive theological dialogue between Jürgen Moltmann’s eschatological-pneumatological theology and Francis’s encyclical Laudato Si’ (2015) in order to articulate a robust foundation for Christian ecological hope. Employing a qualitative theological method based on close textual and conceptual analysis of Moltmann’s major works (Theology of Hope, God in Creation, and The Spirit of Life) and selected doctrinal sections of Laudato Si’, this study identifies convergences and tensions within their respective theological frameworks. The analysis highlights three principal convergences: (1) a relational ontology of creation that resists technocratic domination; (2) a pneumatological vision of the Spirit as the source of life, communion, and resistance to ecological destruction; and (3) an understanding of hope as intrinsically ethical, political, and ecclesial. The study argues that reading Moltmann and Laudato Si’ dialogically enables the development of an eschatologically grounded integral ecology in which ecological praxis becomes anticipatory participation in the Spirit’s renewal of creation.
