Foreign language development is important for students to broaden their access to information and communication, but it should be balanced with prioritizing Indonesian and preserving regional languages. This community service activity aimed to provide students with an understanding of foreign language development through the Trigarta Bangun Bahasa perspective at MTsS Darul Ihsan, Teluk Belitung, Merbau District, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau. The activity was conducted by students of the Community Service Program (KKN) of Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau on September 4, 2026, involving all students of MTsS Darul Ihsan. An educational and participatory approach was implemented through an ice-breaking activity, presentation-based material delivery, and interaction with students. The results showed student participation through involvement in the opening activity, attention to the presented material, and interaction throughout the socialization. The activity provided students with an initial understanding of the importance of foreign language proficiency while maintaining a balance among Indonesian, regional languages, and foreign languages. Since the activity did not employ pre-tests and post-tests, it could not quantitatively demonstrate an improvement in students' foreign language proficiency. Therefore, continued activities involving communication practice and habituation in using foreign languages are needed to strengthen students' language experiences and skills.
