This study analyzes the relevance of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program as a strategic instrument in addressing stunting while simultaneously creating employment opportunities in Indonesia. Based on field findings, stunting prevention efforts through supplementary feeding (PMT) and nutritional education require cross-sectoral involvement, including local community empowerment. The MBG program is considered closely linked to improving toddler nutritional status through systematic nutrient fulfillment. Furthermore, the implementation of this program has the potential to absorb local labor in the supply chain for nutritious food, which aligns with efforts to empower the village economy. The results indicate that the integration of health interventions and local economic strengthening is the key to long-term success in reducing stunting rates and improving public welfare.
