Financial technology (fintech) has become an important driver of financial inclusion by expanding access to digital payments, mobile banking, electronic money, and other financial services. In Uzbekistan, the rapid development of digital payment infrastructure has created new opportunities for individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to participate in the formal financial system. Mobile applications, QR-code payments, online banking platforms, and electronic payment services have gradually changed the way financial transactions are conducted. This article examines the relationship between fintech development and financial inclusion in Uzbekistan, focusing on the country's digital payment ecosystem. It analyzes the opportunities created by digital financial services, their contribution to economic participation, and the challenges associated with digital literacy, cybersecurity, affordability, and unequal access to technology. The study argues that fintech can strengthen financial inclusion by reducing transaction costs, improving accessibility, and supporting small business activity. However, sustainable progress requires reliable digital infrastructure, consumer protection, financial education, and effective regulation.
