Start from the field-dependent kinetic Lagrangian the geometry carries, where the kinetic coefficient depends on the coherence field Φ. The Euler-Lagrange equation of that Lagrangian gives one relation for the mass of any excitation, m² = λ/(k0 Φ), where λ is the eigenvalue structure of the adjacency operator and Φ is the coherence. Mass squared is eigenvalue structure divided by coherence. The relation is derived, not assumed. It recovers ordinary mass at zero coherence, the value physics measures between cold masses at rest, and it predicts that mass runs: the effective inertial mass of a system scales as M_eff/M0 = sqrt(Φ0/Φ), so a system held at four times its baseline coherence carries half its inertial mass. Nothing is lifted. Newton's second law is unchanged in form, F = m(Ψ)·a, and what has moved is the m. That consequence is a prediction and has not been measured. The same equation is the one that governs the gravitational coupling and the horizon, so gravity, inertia and black-hole entropy are three readings of this single mass law along one flow.
