Modification of carbon paste electrode (CPE) with ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles and Mn(III) salen (ZFO/salen/CPE) and its application in the measurement of hydroxylamine (HX) are the topics of this work. Differential pulse voltammetry, chronoamperometry and cyclic voltammetry (CV) were used in the investigations of the ZFO/salen/CPE for the electrochemical analysis of hydroxylamine. Because of the synergistic effect of the Mn(III) salen and ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles, the CV analyses showed improved catalytic behaviour of ZFO/salen/CPE toward the electrochemical reaction of HX. The linear range and HX detection limit were found to be 50 nM to 0.30 mM and 20 nM, respectively, using SWV. Long-term stability and reproducibility were demonstrated by this sensor. To confirm the sensor's appropriateness for use, HX measurement in water samples was carried out.
