The rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and intelligent software systems is transforming the way organizations design, execute, and monitor business processes. Traditional business processes often depend on repetitive manual work, multiple approvals, and disconnected information systems, which can lead to delays, errors, higher operating costs, and inconsistent service quality. AI-based automation combines automation with data-driven prediction, natural language processing, intelligent document processing, and real-time analytics. This paper examines the impact of AI-based automation on business process efficiency and proposes a framework covering data collection, process identification, automation, AI model deployment, performance measurement, and continuous improvement. Key indicators include processing time, operational cost, error rate, productivity, decision accuracy, customer response time, and employee workload. An illustrative pilot case demonstrates potential improvements in process speed, reduced repetitive work, fewer errors, and faster decision-making. The paper also discusses data quality, cybersecurity, privacy, employee resistance, skill requirements, explainability, and implementation cost.
