The turbulent global economy has witnessed abrupt fluctuations and repeated crises, fundamentally altering the operating modes of energy enterprises.Given recent environmental volatility, digital twin technology has emerged as a critical tool to enhance supply chain systems.Although conceptual studies on digitalization are abundant, empirical evidence detailing how digital twin technologies improve enterprise operations remains insufficient.Adopting the Dynamic Capabilities View, this paper establishes a moderated mediation model and conducts empirical research using a stratified sample of 342 senior operating managers and supply chain directors in the energy sector.Using partial least squares structural equation modeling, the empirical results indicate that digital twin technologies directly promote the improvement of operational performance.Furthermore, strategic supply chain resilience partially mediates this relationship.Additionally, the results demonstrate that environmental dynamism moderates these indirect paths; notably, the strategic value of digital twin technology is amplified under conditions of high market volatility. This study provides new theoretical support for supply chain management and offers a practical model for managers to build resilience and improve performance in high-volatility environments.
