Nonlinear optical properties of Single walled carbon nanotubes are related to the third order nonlinear susceptibility. When composite thin film of multiwalled Carbon nanotubes or SWCNT is fabricated on a Silica substrate and NLSE is solved at the interface, the solution shows optical stability of Soliton. Comparing the theoretical and experimental data it is observed that the nonlinearity of the nanotube film increases as the film moves towards the interface and it also depends on the dielectric constants of different shapes and types of nanotubes. Also, the Phase-Plane curves for carbon nanotube films deposited on silica substrate are obtained. Using nonlinear refractive index of nanotubes of different structures, the phase shift across the beam is obtained. The reflectance and transmittance of carbon nanotube film at the silica substrate are represented theoretically which are found to be consistent with the results obtained experimentally by using the Z-scan technique. The transmittivity of nanotubes of various shapes and types can be used for measurement of their nonlinear refractive index. Thus, this model gives rise to the nonlinear response at the interface which can be applied to fast switching devices.
