The geometry and microenvironment of the enzyme active site are essential for the biocatalytic synthesis of diverse stereogenic α‐aryl amines. Illustrated here is a reductive aminase metaphorically represented as Huangshan mountain. Its active cavity displays the spatial arrangement of key catalytic residues, substrate imine, and cofactor NADPH during asymmetric reductive amination. The enantiomeric chiral product is formed and reflected on the lake surface. The article by Sang et al . is on pages 3771—3783.
