A 9‐month‐old, spayed, female labradoodle presented with acute‐onset panting, lethargy and intermittent restlessness. Diagnostic imaging was initially performed to evaluate respiratory disease. Subsequent history revealed accidental ingestion of cariprazine (Vraylar), with up to thirty 4.5‐mg capsules missing, corresponding to an estimated dose of 11.1 mg/kg. The dog was hospitalised and managed with supportive care and continuous monitoring. Clinical signs gradually resolved over 36–48 hours, and the patient made a complete recovery. This report describes the first known veterinary case of suspected cariprazine toxicosis in a dog. As cariprazine use in human medicine increases, awareness of its potential effects and clinical course in companion animals is warranted.
