This study aimed to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the 10-item Quality of Contraceptive Counseling Scale. This cross-sectional methodological study was conducted at a training and research hospital in Turkey with 125 women who received contraceptive counseling, including 100 participants for the main validation analyses and 25 for test-retest reliability. The scale was adapted through forward-backward translation, expert review, and cultural adaptation. Construct, criterion, and discriminant validity, internal consistency, and temporal stability were assessed. The Turkish version demonstrated a unidimensional structure with acceptable model fit, high internal consistency, and excellent test-retest reliability. Significant associations with patient satisfaction supported criterion validity, while discriminant validity analyses showed that the scale distinguished between groups with different perceptions of counseling quality. The findings support its use as a valid and reliable tool in clinical practice and research. (Afr J Reprod Health 2026; 30 [20]: 71-82).
