Objective: The purpose of the current study is to undertake the Turkish adaptation of the Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Competency Assessment Tool and assess its validity and reliability. Materials and Methods: This research adopts a methodological approach. Between August and December, we engaged with 402 nurses and doctors working in two state hospitals. Data were collected using the “Descriptive Characteristics Form” and the “Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Competency Assessment Tool.” Analysis and evaluation involved factor analysis, Cronbach’s alpha analysis, item-total score correlation analysis, content validity, construct validity, and concurrent validity. Results: Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Competency Assessment Tool demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha=0.859). The item-total correlation values ranged from 0.491 to 0.789. Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Competency Assessment Tool exhibited a four-factor structure, explaining 64% of the total variance in the measured variables. Conclusion: The Turkish version of Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Competency Assessment Tool exhibited high validity and reliability within the Turkish population. We suggest that healthcare professionals utilize it to evaluate competency skills related to the management and decision-making in adolescent sexual and reproductive health.
