Due to its specific disease characteristics, the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer often requires patients to repeatedly travel between their home and medical institutions due to the ineffective management of symptoms, cachexia, and other issues, thus incurring significant time, costs, and financial investment in their quest for medical treatment. The use of mobile health (mHealth) technology has alleviated this predicament, at least to a certain extent. The aim of this article is to discuss the current status and issues faced when using mHealth in the disease management of patients with pancreatic cancer. We summarize the current new advances in mHealth in the field of pancreatic cancer disease management and analyze barriers to the widespread adoption of mHealth technologies. mHealth technology makes the various stages of disease management more convenient and efficient for pancreatic cancer patients. It is hoped that relevant legislation and regulations will be developed and that narrowing the "digital divide" will be more conducive to the development of mHealth models in pancreatic cancer patients.
