Graded physical rehabilitation supports safe cardiovascular adaptation in cardiology patients.
Why the study?
This study aimed to evaluate the impact of dosed physical activity on the rehabilitation process of patients in cardiology departments.
Does dosed physical activity improve clinical indicators and quality of life in patients in cardiology departments?
Does dosed physical activity improve clinical indicators and quality of life in patients in cardiology departments?

Supports monitored progressive exercise for safe adaptation in cardiology inpatients; leaves open confirmation via randomized trials on outcomes.
The modern concept of rehabilitation is based on the principles of early patient activation with a gradual expansion of physical activity under the control of clinical and functional indicators. Dosed physical activity plays a central role in the system of rehabilitation measures, exerting a positive effect on hemodynamics, myocardial metabolism, endothelial function, and the psychoemotional state of patients. Objective. To study the impact of dosed physical activity on the rehabilitation process of patients in cardiology departments. Results. Modern approaches to the organization of cardiac rehabilitation and the role of physical activity in restorative treatment were studied; The physiological mechanisms of the effects of graduated exercise on the cardiovascular system were analyzed; an empirical study of the dynamics of clinical indicators and quality of life of patients during the physical rehabilitation program was conducted. Conclusion. A system of gradual expansion of physical activity from passive movements and breathing exercises to intense aerobic training ensures safe, physiologically sound adaptation of the cardiovascular system to increasing loads. Adherence to the principles of gradualism, individualization, and continuous medical monitoring helps minimize the risk of complications and achieve maximum rehabilitation effects. The role of the nursing professional in the organization and implementation of physical rehabilitation is key at all stages of rehabilitation treatment.

Uvarova et al. (2026) studied Cardiovascular disease requiring cardiac rehabilitation. Dosed physical activity (gradual expansion from passive movements and breathing exercises to intense aerobic training) was evaluated on Dynamics of clinical indicators and quality of life during the physical rehabilitation program. Dosed physical activity expanding from passive movements to aerobic training supports safe cardiovascular adaptation and rehabilitation in cardiology patients (no quantitative data reported).
