Here, we describe Afrocamilla singhi Sati & Fartyal sp. nov. from the Western Himalayas, Uttarakhand, India, representing the first Asian record of the genus and a notable range extension into the Oriental region. We provide a detailed morphological description and illustrations of the new species, a revised key to all known species, a brief review of the genus and ecological insights. The discovery of Afrocamilla singhi Sati & Fartyal sp. nov. underscores the taxonomic and biogeographic significance of Afrocamilla and suggests that considerable undiscovered diversity persists in the underexplored habitats of the Western Himalayas.
