This study provides an in-depth analysis of how digital transformation skills enable supply chain resilience and sustainable performance under conditions of environmental uncertainty. The existing research is still fragmented in terms of theoretical perspectives, methodological approaches and industry contexts, which limits understanding of the interactions among digital technologies, organizational capacities and resilience. The current systematic literature review follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA 2020) guidelines and includes 29 empirical journal papers indexed in Scopus, published between 2020 and 2025. Eligible studies were peer-reviewed English-language articles on digital transformation capabilities, supply chain resilience, environmental uncertainty and sustainable performance. The findings suggest that digital technologies provide infrastructure that, together with dynamic capabilities such as sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring, helps translate technology investments into resilience and sustainable outcomes. The review presents a multilevel capability-building framework which integrates digital technology, organizational capacities and environmental uncertainties. The findings provide practical advice for supply chain managers in the form of the need to align digital investments with worker development and organizational learning to enhance resilience in an uncertain environment.
