The Bunjevci in Serbian Press During the Existence of the Voivodeship Serbia and Banat of Temeschwar (1849–1860)

The paper examines articles containing information on the Bunjevci published in the Serbian press from the formation of the Voivodeship of Serbia and Banat of Temeschwar (18 November 1849) to its abolition on 27 December 1860. Texts mentioning the Bunjevci can be found in Srbske novine, Pozornik Vojvodstva Srbije, Vojvođanka and Srbski dnevnik. These articles primarily address the ethnic identity of the Bunjevci and their attitude toward the Serbs during the Serbian National Movement of 1848–1849, as well as the Bunjevci’s viewpoint on the Voivodeship of Serbia and Banat of Temeschwar. The texts are systematized by content, along with necessary explanation.
