The article examines the relationship between a type of proceeding and other case consideration procedures in civil procedure. The author views civil procedure as a four-level system of case examination procedures, the levels of which are: type of judicial proceedings, type of proceeding, features of the examination of individual categories of cases, and the legal case. Each level represents a differentiation of the civil procedural form to varying degrees. The constructed model allows for an examination of the dynamics of case examination procedures — their emergence and transition from one level to another.
