This study explores the impact of Green Commitment (GC) on Environmental Performance (ENVP) in Egyptian SME hotels, examining the mediating role of Green Engagement (GE) and the moderating effect of Pro-Environmental Behavior (PEB). Data from 408 frontline hotel employees in Greater Cairo were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Results show GC significantly enhances ENVP, both directly and through GE. GE partially mediates this relationship, while PEB strengthens the GC-ENVP link. These findings highlight the importance of employee engagement and pro-environmental behavior in achieving sustainability goals, offering valuable insights for SMEs aiming to improve environmental outcomes through strategic workforce involvement.
