This study was motivated by the persistence of bullying in the school environment, which is often perceived as a joke, particularly in the form of teasing related to students’ family backgrounds. Such behavior can have psychological effects and disrupt victims’ social relationships. This study aims to analyze the psychological impacts experienced by bullying victims, describe the forms of bullying that occur, and examine the implementation of Guidance and Counseling services in addressing and preventing bullying among students at SMA Negeri 1 Sutera, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research informants consisted of two students as key informants who were victims of bullying and three additional informants, namely a Guidance and Counseling teacher, a physical education teacher, and a homeroom teacher. Data were collected through observation and interviews and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that bullying affected the psychological conditions of the victims, as indicated by decreased self-confidence, feelings of sadness, anger, fear, and discomfort, reduced trust in others, and limited social relationships and adjustment within the school environment. The primary form of bullying identified was verbal bullying, particularly teasing related to family background, which perpetrators perceived as a joke but caused discomfort to the victims. Guidance and Counseling services play an important role in preventing and addressing bullying through preventive and curative approaches to help victims cope with the psychological impacts they experience.
