Learning impact of 3D visualization in students using HoloLens 2 mixed-teality glasses and VSI HoloMedicine®​ software: A monocentric, prospective, randomized, comparative pilot study

Introduction The usage of 3D visualization in Augmented Reality (AR) for medical education, especially in head and neck anatomy, is limited. Three-dimensional presentation using AR technologies like the HoloLens 2 and VSI HoloMedicine®​ holds promise for enhancing learning outcomes. This study investigates the added value of 3D visualization through AR compared to traditional two-dimensional methods.
