The article reveals the significance of physical education in the system of education and upbringing of the younger generation, as it is aimed at improving health, physical development, and increasing the working capacity of children. The analysis of the current state of physical education among schoolchildren indicates a tendency towards a decrease in their health status and physical fitness. It has been established that physical education lessons, in addition to fulfilling educational and upbringing tasks, also perform a health-improving function. However, the limited time allocated for classes complicates the achievement of the set goals in full, which necessitates the search for ways to increase the effectiveness of physical education lessons in addressing a range of health-related tasks. One of the promising directions for solving this problem is the application of a combined method for developing the physical abilities of 10–12-year-old students during the process of learning the techniques of track and field exercises. In the course of the study, 15 parameters were determined that comprehensively reflect the technical and physical preparedness of younger adolescents in running, jumping, and throwing, and a reliable and complementary relationship between them was identified during the process of learning track and field events. The effectiveness of the combined training impact, which involves the step-by-step mastering of techniques, optimization of the intensity and number of exercises, and regulation of rest intervals, has been substantiated. The results of pedagogical experiments confirmed the positive impact of the proposed model of lesson organization on the health status and the level of mastering the educational material in track and field among younger adolescents.
