In the process of formation of Russian society, the foundations of Russian civilization were formed. The foun-dations of civilization are understood as a set of sociocodes of culture, meanings and content of sacred values that have developed in society. The foundations of civilization are formed at the initial stage of its emergence and are preserved throughout its existence, supplemented in the process of civilizational development of socie-ty. The foundations of Russian civilization include sociocodes of not only the Christian, but also the pagan world. Russian civilization is located on a special territory of the heartland, which is the continental core, the axial region of the Eurasian continent. The action of the foundations of Russian civilization in modern condi-tions occurs through the mechanisms of actualization of traditional values of society. In the process of for-mation of Russian civilization, value and mentally significant ideas were formed that determine the existential attitudes of life and activity of the subject of development of Russian society. The meaning-forming role in the system of archetypes and sociocodes of Russian civilization is played by the phenomena of the Motherland and Fatherland, which are significant values of the traditional culture of the peoples of Russia. In the strategies for the formation of a multipolar world, the Russian Logos, which unites various peoples in the foundations of Russian civilization, becomes an example of the viability of the idea of the unity of various cultures.
