ABSTRACT The ophthalmological literature dealing with diseases of the optic nerve, tracts, and visual cortex for the period September, 1969, to November, 1970, was reviewed. Nineteen papers dealing with topics of some interest to optometrists have been abstracted. Fine structure of the optic nerve head, insight into the pathogenesis of infectious diseases, and objective evaluation of the fundus are principal subjects of this review.
