Abstract: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj occupies a central place in Indian historical and political thought. Beyond his military achievements, his administrative vision and ethical governance have continued to influence modern discourse on leadership and statecraft. This paper examines the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj in contemporary discussions on good governance, decentralization, and public welfare.
