Digital literacy programmes have become increasingly important for adult migrants seeking integration into urban communities in Africa. Lagos, Nigeria, is a prime example with its high population of informal and formal migrants who often face barriers to accessing digital resources. The research employs ethnographic methods including participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and focus group discussions with stakeholders such as programme developers, participants, and community leaders. A notable finding is the significant increase (35%) in digital skills among adult migrants who participated in the programmes over four years, highlighting their effectiveness in bridging the digital divide. The study underscores the importance of tailored digital literacy programmes for adult migrants and suggests strategies to improve programme accessibility and efficacy. Programme developers should prioritise community engagement and tailor content to address specific needs identified by participants. Community leaders are encouraged to advocate for increased funding and support for such initiatives.
