Where human remains were encountered, all excavation ceased until the remains has been assessed, recor de d and lift ed prior to continuation with the excavation. Where art iculated h um an remains were countered , the whole inhuma tio n / exten t of the art iculat ed remains were excavat ed , t he remains were recor ded and lifted prior to c ontinu ation of the excavation. Ltd was commissioned by the Client to carry out an archaeological watching brief on land immediately west of St Tudor's Church, Mynyddislwyn, Blackwood, Caerphilly NP12 2BE (ce ntred on National Grid Reference (NGR): ST 319326 193924). The w atching brief revealed disturbed ground throughout the development area. Five in situ burials were encountered as well as numerous disarticulated human remains. Potential evidence for an ea rlier church alignment was also encountered."
