Contemporary international requirements in the education system, which emphasise disciplinary and methodological knowledge and the level of development of managerial competencies, have significantly expanded the professional role of teachers. The aim of this article is to theoretically substantiate and describe the mechanism for developing managerial competence in future teachers, taking into account contemporary pedagogical approaches and principles. The study is based on a theoretical analysis of management concepts and a simulation of the mechanism by which future teachers develop their managerial competence. The theoretical significance of this study lies in identifying the structure of the interrelated components of managerial competence, comprising motivational-value, cognitive, operational-behavioural and reflective components. The practical value of this work lies in the potential for applying the mechanism for developing managerial competence within the educational process. The proposed mechanism for developing the managerial competence of future teachers facilitates the development of the individual as a subject of professional reflection and selfdevelopment. Consequently, the development of managerial competence involves the targeted cultivation of the ability to analyse one’s own professional practice, to understand managerial decisions, and to evaluate their effectiveness.
