This paper focuses on the 'immediate future' usage of the Korean language '-eoss-(-었-)', examines the semantic characteristics and various uses of the immediate future usage of the '-eoss-(-었-)' from a linguistic typological perspective, and discuss how the usage can be interpreted based on this. The contents discussed in this paper are as follows. First, by observing the immediate future usage of the past tense marker, it has three characteristics: 'lexical device can be omitted', 'speaker's certainty', and 'moving verb appears as a predicate'. Second, the immediate future use of '-eoss-(-었-)' has three semantic characteristics: certainty, accomplished fact, imminence, and has three uses: location notification, expectation realization, and warning. Third, the immediate future use of the Korean language '-eoss-(-었-)' is judged as a semantic-pragmatic meaning based on three aspects: motivation for utterance(certainty), basis for utterance(implicature), and speaker's observation method(deictic projection).
