Dark-Strong Coupling This image illustrates an open cavity configuration of a WS2 monolayer on top of a high-refractive-index hexagonal boron nitride. This confines the electromagnetic field tightly between the air interface and a mirror, resulting in polariton-like emission by entering into a unique dark-strong coupling regime.
