This paper introduces the Principle of Manifestation as a philosophical framework designed to resolve the long-standing conflict between preformationism (form is pre-given) and epigenesis (form arises from the formless). The core idea is a crucial distinction: the fundamental types of organization of matter (e.g., inanimate physical matter vs. living matter) are ontologically pre-given. They do not emerge through evolution but rather manifest once the necessary complexity is achieved. In contrast, variations within a type (biological species, social institutions) do evolve through standard Darwinian mechanisms. This synthesis retains all evolutionary data while removing the metaphysical claim that evolution alone can explain the origin of these fundamental types.
