This work introduces the LiDAR Paton Compass, a non-intrusive orientation framework for navigating complexity through admissible structure rather than internal inspection or content inference. Inspired by LiDAR sensing, the framework maps viable interaction space using repeated low-bandwidth feedback (e.g., persistence, resistance, comfort) to preserve human agency and dignity. Positioned within the Paton System, the Compass operates as a Tier-4 interface constrained by Tier-3 admissibility and Tier-8 recursive closure. It makes no medical, neurological, or diagnostic claims, and does not infer mental content. Instead, it provides orientation support that adapts only through explicit permission and demonstrated tolerance. The framework is applicable to accessibility, human–AI interaction, assistive systems, and complex environment navigation—particularly where translation bandwidth is limited and rapid, low-risk benefit is required.
