ABSTRACT Using five wearers of the Bausch and Lomb Soflens™ as subjects, keratometer readings were taken in the morning prior to wearing lenses and at regular intervals throughout the day. Mean horizontal curvature varied less than 0.25 D throughout the diurnal period and the mean vertical curvature varied only slightly more than 0.25 D. The results of this study make it appear that there is considerably less diurnal change in corneal curvature for wearers of the Soflens™ than for conventional hard contact lens wearers.
