A geophysical survey, comprising detailed magnetometry, was carried out within a small land parcel on the south-western edge of Tetbury using a SENSYS MAGNETO MX V3 6 channel cart-based system. The instrument has 6 fluxgate gradiometers (FGM650) spaced 0.5m apart with readings recorded at 20Hz which equates to a survey resolution of 0.5m by 0.15m. The land immediately to the north contained the remains of a Middle Bronze Age enclosure, along with several other prehistoric features and the survey has located a number of anomalies that could be associated with the enclosure. Other pit-like anomalies are not clearly defined and are likely to be natural, although an anthropogenic association is possible. A former field boundary, agricultural activity and modern infilled geotechnical trial pits have also been located.
