Genome assembly reveals 311 Mb structure in Tarphius canariensis, indicating notable evolutionary traits in Canary Islands arthropods.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a specimen of <ns3:italic>Tarphius canariensis</ns3:italic> (Ironclad beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Zopheridae), a representative species from one of the more notable arthropod radiations within the Canary Islands. The entirety of the genome sequence was assembled into 10 contiguous chromosomal pseudomolecules. This chromosome-level assembly encompasses 311 Mb, composed of 50 contigs and 13 scaffolds, with contig and scaffold N50 values of 14.5 Mb and 31.1 Mb, respectively.</ns3:p>
