The article examines the concept of moral education as a complex process of forming a stable system of moral values that determine a person's attitude to himself and the world. The components of moral education are identified and the factors influencing the formation of adolescent morality are analyzed, as well as the contribution of foreign and domestic psychologists to the study of this problem. In the conducted empirical study, using a set of techniques, the peculiarities of moral upbringing of adolescents were identified and conclusions about gender differences were drawn.
