Genome assembly of Carassius carassius comprises 50 chromosomal pseudomolecules, implying extensive genomic organization.
<ns7:p>We present a genome assembly from a juvenile female <ns7:italic>Carassius carassius</ns7:italic> (crucian carp; Chordata; Actinopteri; Cypriniformes; Cyprinidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 1 684.30 megabases. Most of the assembly (98.41%) is scaffolded into 50 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.6 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 39 044 protein-coding genes.</ns7:p>
