Genome assembly reveals two haplotypes in Cercyonis lycaon, highlighting chromosomal structure and mitochondrial characteristics.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns3:italic>Cercyonis lycaon</ns3:italic> (Dusky Meadow Brown; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 601.00 megabases and 548.79 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (94.99%) is scaffolded into 30 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.2 kilobases.</ns3:p>
