Genome assembly identifies two haplotypes of Lycaena hippothoe, revealing chromosomal structures and mitochondrial genome.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns3:italic>Lycaena hippothoe</ns3:italic> (Purple-edged Copper; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Lycaenidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 484.25 megabases and 431.80 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.6%) is scaffolded into 25 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.43 kilobases.</ns3:p>
