Genome assembly reveals two haplotypes and sex chromosomes in Boloria thore, indicating complex genetic architecture.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns3:italic>Boloria thore</ns3:italic> (Thor’s Fritillary; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 427.95 megabases and 366.63 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (92.92%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W and Z sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.15 kilobases.</ns3:p>
