Genome assembly reveals two haplotypes and scaffolding into chromosomal pseudomolecules in Argynnis paphia, indicating its complex genetic structure.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns3:italic>Argynnis paphia</ns3:italic> (Silver-washed Fritillary; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 520.88 megabases and 444.74 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (97.96%) is scaffolded into 30 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W, Z<ns3:sub>1</ns3:sub>, and Z<ns3:sub>2</ns3:sub> sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.22 kilobases</ns3:p>
