Genome assembly displays two haplotypes in Melitaea parthenoides, revealing chromosomal pseudomolecules and mitochondrial structure.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns3:italic>Melitaea parthenoides</ns3:italic> (Meadow Fritillary; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 592.15 megabases and 568.40 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.72%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.17 kilobases.</ns3:p>
