Genome assembly presents two haplotypes of Melitaea diamina with 578.08 and 578.44 megabases, showcasing key genetic features.
<ns3:p>We present a genome assembly from a male specimen of <ns3:italic>Melitaea diamina</ns3:italic> (False Heath Fritillary; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Nymphalidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 578.08 megabases and 578.44 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.87%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.17 kilobases.</ns3:p>
