Genome assembly reveals two haplotypes of Colias phicomone, suggesting complex chromosomal structures in Lepidoptera.
<ns7:p>We present a genome assembly from a female specimen of <ns7:italic>Colias phicomone</ns7:italic> (Mountain Clouded Yellow; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Pieridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 420.60 megabases and 355.84 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.03%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the W, Z<ns7:sub>1</ns7:sub>, and Z<ns7:sub>2</ns7:sub> sex chromosomes. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.15 kilobases.</ns7:p>
