Qualitative research develops a framework for teaching Arabic through deep learning strategies in virtual tourism.
The digitalization era, which has transformed all aspects of life, has massively changed people’s lifestyles, including virtual shopping, online learning, and even virtual medical consultations. This transformation has also reached the tourism sector through the emergence of virtual tourism. The advancement of technology in these areas can be harnessed to innovate Arabic language learning for tourism, aligning it with the virtual culture using a deep learning approach. This study aims to formulate the application of deep learning in teaching Arabic for virtual tourism. The term "deep learning" here not only refers to technological implementation but also to the pedagogical strategies that emphasize autonomous, reflective, and meaningful learning. The formulation includes a deep learning-based instructional design using digital platforms. This qualitative research employs a literature review method, gathering references related to deep learning approaches in Arabic language education, specifically in the context of virtual tourism content. The study results in a framework for applying deep learning to virtual tourism Arabic through several strategies: Virtual Arabic Tour Simulations, Contextual Discourse Analysis, Cultural Reflection and Discussion, and the Use of Interactive Digital Media such as Google Earth, Canva, Zoom, and Padlet to support project-based learning. These strategies aim to avoid superficial learning traps and promote meaningful understanding, professional competitiveness, and strong cultural sensitivity in students learning Arabic for virtual tourism.
