Qualitative analysis reveals security threats on Sebatik Island, suggesting a coordinated response involving military, social, and economic sectors.
The purpose of this study is to analyze Indonesia's Strategy to Strengthen National Security in the Sebatik Island Border Area The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a systematic literature review approach. The results of the study show that Sebatik Island faces security threats such as smuggling, economic dependence on Malaysia, and the fading of nationalism. Limited infrastructure and lack of synergy between institutions exacerbate the vulnerability of this region. Therefore, the strategy to strengthen national security must be multidimensional, involving military, social, economic, and diplomatic aspects. The synergy of the TNI, the National Police, local governments, and related agencies is very important so that security management runs effectively and integrated. The development of integrated infrastructure such as security posts and communication facilities must be accelerated.
