Analysis reveals macroprudential policy affects financial stability in Russia's credit market, suggesting improvements needed.
This study assesses the impact of macroprudential policy on financial stability in Russia by analyzing changes in the parameters of macroprudential regulation tools within the Russian credit market. The hypothesis of the study is that the vulnerability of Russia's financial market stability is increasing due to shifts in the influence of macroprudential tools in the lending sector. Conclusions are drawn regarding the effectiveness of the Bank of Russia's macroprudential policy in achieving financial stability objectives. The study examines commercial banks' compliance with macroprudential measures and conducts a macroeconomic analysis of Russia's economy and credit market to identify key factors contributing to the destabilization of the financial sector. Additionally, it proposes directions for improving specific macroprudential tools and procedures.
