The integration of local wisdom and Islamic values in literature learning has not been optimally utilized as a strategy for contextualizing customs in a relevant and meaningful educational context. This research aims to examine the representation of local wisdom values and Islamic teachings in the Kompas short stories edition of 2025. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical type of research. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation and literature study. The research results show that the tradition of watching television collectively in rural communities reflects local wisdom that strengthens social solidarity and a spirit of togetherness. This practice is not merely entertainment, but has become a social ritual that forms informal public spaces and strengthens relationships among residents. The values of mutual cooperation, openness, and tolerance of space are reflected in the activities of sharing place and time together at the main character's house. Additionally, the Islamic teachings acquired from the pesantren color the character's attitudes and actions in addressing social issues, demonstrating the integration of religion and local culture. This phenomenon demonstrates the cultural resilience of rural communities in maintaining social harmony amidst the tide of modernization.
